Okay, here’s the deal: you’ve got a website that’s a mess or you’re thinking about setting up a site but find it a bit overwhelming. Maybe some hot shot designer set you up with pages that look cool but don’t get the job done. Or, you got stuck with some weird open-source e-commerce software that was the right price but has become an albatross. Google can’t see you; Yahoo thinks you’re in Mongolia; and, what the heck is DMOZ, or CMS, CFM or SEO?
I’ve been in some form of marketing and communications for the last 40+ years, either for my own start ups or as consultant to private and public companies; and, for a few years was a Texas correspondent for The Economist. I know how tough running a business can be. About four years ago I began concentrating on web related issues. With my code-writing team I’ve built CMS sites from scratch; recently took River House from 0-PR4 with more than 800 in-links in under a year. Currently, I'm slowly developing a travel site called TexasHillCountryTravel.com and have recently gone "live" with a cool spice retailer, Sutton's Seasonings. Also, check out my sites in the Art market: De La Vega Studios and Pitzer's Fine Arts, which is transitioning to a new CMS. And, I’ve taken the SEO and Internet Marketing courses and keep up with the latest changes.
How do I charge? I won’t try to sell you a packaged site for $995 or any of that; I do strictly custom work. If you’ve looked around, you’ll agree that my rates are extremely reasonable, ranging from $80-125 per hour. Here's a novelty: I actually return calls! Have your elements together? I will give you an firm price on a turn-key project and stick to it; and, I can webmaster your site on a monthly retainer arrangement. Not sure what your site needs? Let me analyze your site and recommended options. If any of this interests you, contact me and we’ll get the ball rolling.
Need to see me in person? I'm regularly in Wimberley-Austin-San Antonio and Santa Fe. Thanks!
